I spent the best part of the day on Saturday at the hospital. I made a point of taking Pongo out for a couple of hours, though. We went to Keizer Rapids. This another Salem-area park right on the Willamette. This one is a couple of miles or so downstream from Minto-Brown Island Park. It's actually in the city of Keizer, which used to be a part of Salem but split off into its own township when I was a kid.

Keizer Rapids has a nice fenced-in dog park. Hooray! Pongo was able to walk off leash and spend some time with some other dogs. I was even able to get a decent photo of him.

After the dog park, we went for a stroll on one of the river trails at the park. It was a nice walk through a forest area that opened up onto a flood plain. We didn't spend a lot of time there, but it was nice to get out into the open even if it was only for a couple of hours.

Beautiful captures Shane, Pongo is just way too adorable so glad you were able to find a dog park where he can just have an awesome time. =0)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Marie. Pongo is cute and an unabashed flirt with the ladies (canine and human). We wish he could be a little more patient with the foster dogs we have in the house, though. He's got a bit of a Napoleon complex at home.
DeleteSo many beautiful green spaces in that area. Even the paths. Pongo really is a cutie. Hope your Mom's doing well.
ReplyDeleteEverything is green up in Oregon even in winter. I so glad you noticed that green moss on the path. That's my favorite thing in this set of shots.
DeleteThank you, my mom is recovering well.
